Mission Vision
A world where everyone has a decent place to live.

The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.

For this reason they are before the throne of God, and worship him day and night within his temple, and the one who is seated on the throne will shelter them. They will hunger no more, and thirst no more; the sun will not strike them, nor any scorching heat; for the Lamb at the center of the throne will guide them to the springs of the water of life, and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.

Mission Statement
Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating houses so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which every person can experience God's love and can live and grow into all that God intends.

What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is also dead.

  

Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love...We love because He first loved us.

Principle 1: Demonstrate the love and teachings of Jesus Christ.
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.  And the King will answer them, Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.

He answered, 'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.

Principle 2: Advocate on behalf of those in need of decent shelter.
Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.

They asked only one thing, that we remember the poor, which was actually what I was eager to do.

Principle 3: Focus on shelter by building and renovating simple, decent, affordable houses.
Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.

Is not this the fast that I choose: to loose the bonds of injustice, to undo the thongs of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free and to break every yoke? is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover them, and not to hide yourself from your own kin?

Principle 4: Engage broad community through inclusive leadership and diverse partnerships.
But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body.

Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good; love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are.

Principle 5: Promote dignity through full partnership with Habitat homeowners and future home partners.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

The righteous know the rights of the poor.

Principle 6: Promote transformational and sustainable community development.
They devote themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Awe came upon everyone, because many wonders and signs were being done by the apostles. All who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need.

But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
